For the first time ever we are giving a public performance of our 6th Form Panto (it is usually just performed to all our local primary schools and yr7 over 2 performances).
The additonal performance is at 7pm tomorrow night at The Coro – tickets are £3 each on the door and it has a run-time of just under 1 hour. All are welcome!!!!
Urgent request for some raffle prizes please!!!! We are running a ‘Spot The Tune’ competition with a 1st prize as well as the usual raffle which usually raises a lot of our much-needed funds.
Also – if anyone is willing/able to help run the raffle from 6.40pm-7.30pm and/or at the interval, please do let me know.

With school being closed tomorrow, Wind Band will obviously NOT be on. Please coud everyone make every effort to make a replacement rehearsal on Friday 8th 3.30-5pm? I had already cancelled Swing Band due to a prior commitment of mine, but we really need this rehearsal as the Festival is on the 13th.
The Combo rehearsal after school today is cancelled due to the yr10/11 trip to Manchester.

That is me (Mr B) being speechless – it’s a VERY rare occurrence (as you all know). I am so very proud of every single member of the Swing Band. The performance at Dickensian today was absolutely epic – you excelled yourselves and blew me away. I simply could not have asked for any more from you all or imagined a better 1st gig of the year.
Also, huge congratulations to Jayden, Briony, Freya and Mariana – it takes a heck of a lot to be able to stand in front of a band on a microphone – and to sing as well as all 4 did today….. What can I say?
I am a very, very proud (old) music teacher this evening and will sleep very well tonight!!! Thank you everyone.
PS – if anyone’s got any good photos/videos please send them to me so that I can do an official school post on Monday.
The rehearsals on Monday 2th Nov, 4th & 11th Dec will be from 3.30pm-5.15pm to allow us time to put the finishing touches to the Christmas festival programme.
Apologies, I forgot to inform parents that Swing Band this evening is until 5pm (including packing the gear for Dickensian and then loading the van). Details about tomorrow have been distributed already but here they are again:

The date of our engagement at The Farmers (Lowick) Winter Fair has changed again to Saturday 16th December, 1pm-3.30pm. If any students cannot make it I need to know asap.
