As usual we will be holding a raffle at the Summer Concert. If you are in a position to be able to donate a prize (bottle/chocolates/flowers/a cake) please send it in to the Music Dept before Friday 5th.

Tomorrow: in a change to the schedule, we need everyone available at the rehearsal, even if they are not going on tour!

Monday: we need everyone there!

Tuesday 2nd: this is now a FULL WIND BAND REHEARSAL as well. Everyone needs to be there!

Thursday 4th: rehearsal cancelled due to yr12 Parents’ Evening

Friday 5th: CONCERT!!! (aaaaagh)

LBB is ON this afternoon – full attendance please as we have a couple of pieces to sort out for the Dance Show which we have not covered recently. Thank you.

The Swing Band (and Little Big Band) are performing at The Coro at the Dance Show next Wednesday, as well as the Summer Concert on Friday 5th. It is the first time we have tried the Dance Show with a live ‘house band’ so there should be a real spectacle of combined student talent on show. Details of the rehearsal and show are below.

Please find below a copy of the letter going out to all music groups this week – it details the arrangements for the Summer Concert on Friday 5th July which involves the Choirs, String Orchestra, Junior Band, Wind Band and Swing Band.

We are playing at The Old Friends on Soutergate (weather permitting) on Saturday:

Arrive: 6:15pm to set up. Swing Band shirt/own choice bottoms & footwear

Playing: 7pm-9pm

This is the rehearsal schedule for the next 6 weeks running into the Dance Show (with Swing Band) on Wed 3rd July, the Summer Concert on Fri 5th July and finally the Wind & Swing Band tour. We need students to get to all rehearsals (although yr11 & yr13 are excused the next couple of weeks due to exams – this evening’s Wind Band rehearsal was sparse in several areas due to other year group students not attending and not informing me).
