On Tuesday 2nd February, UVHS U/13 cricket squad went to Furness College to play for a spot at the county indoor cricket competition in March. The first match was against Dowdales. Dowdales put up a good battle, but UVHS won their first game. The score ended up 57-6 Dowdales, 59-6 UVHS. The next game was UVHS versus Chetwynde. After a poor batting performance from UVHS, Chetwynde capitalised and won. The scores finished as UVHS 56-All out and Chetwynde 57-3.

After a short break UVHS played Walney and secured another win in an impressive fashion. Walney were all out for 31 and UVHS finished with the score of 69-6. That meant that UVHS claimed second spot.

After another short break, UVHS played Dowdales in the semi-final. It was another close game between the two sides but UVHS edged a win. The game finished Dowdales 54-6, UVHS 55-6. This meant that UVHS had progressed to the final. They played Chetwynde in the final and this time it was played on a full pitch (indoor). With a fantastic performance from the whole team we won!
