Completed revision sheets from today’s lesson are on the regenerating places revision page (click regenerating places tab above).
Also, a reminder tomorrow will be an exam technique session on Regenerating Places (3:30, S3). Be clued up on the role of national and local governments in regenerating places (HS2, Heathrow Airport, Deregulation, Chambers of Commerce etc. )
Hope to see many of you then!
Year 12: As a few of you are not in today’s lesson – I’ve attached the pages of the textbook we used to help you catch up. When you next see me come and pick up a worksheet for you to fill in about drainage basins.
Textbook pages Part 1
Textbook pages Part 2
Year 12 and Year 13: I’ve also found an interesting recent article about desalination, it would be well worth a read. I’ve put it in the Lesson 18 folder on the water cycle page.
Work for Miss Mardell’s class. Apologies I meant to come and set you this work, but had my Yr12s. Here is the work that Miss Mardell set you:
Use Superpowers Enquiry Question 2, Lesson 2 on the blog to follow the instructions – focus is on how tensions can arise over acquisition of resources in the Arctic. There is a clip at the end that should also be watched before tomorrow’s lesson.
See the link for a couple of changes to the exam technique timetable (carbon cycle and water cycle sessions have been swapped, and I’ve added the regenerating places session to the end). Please note there will be two sessions in the final week of this half term.
For this Wednesday try to do a bit of research about energy consumption and energy pathways so you can contribute in the session.
