Calendar Update: essential KS4 dates

key-dates

As the school year starts, it’s important for KS4 students AND parents to have an idea of how Years 10 and 11 will pan out.

To both help with student time-management and assist parents in staying informed and supportive, I have published the essential KS4 dates for the year (of course as certain as we can make anything at this early stage).

If you click on the Calendar link for the blog, you will find KS4 key dates in orange.  As you scroll through the year you will see:

CBA – classroom-based assessments – highlighting the weeks during which they will take place and the week when student results will be released (usually a fortnight later)

Practice (Y11) and End Of Year (Y10) exams, which will take place in the hall – again, highlighting the weeks during which they will take place and the week when student results will be released (usually a fortnight later)

GCSE exam dates for Y11.

I have also included some information about the length of the exams / assessments, the topics and marks available, and whether Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar (SPAG) is marked for that paper.

This information will also appear in students’ exercise books, but I hope this will prove a useful resource.  Please get in touch with any queries …
