GCSE Results Day

Where would Results Day be without a picture of some random jumping into the air like lunatics?

Where would Results Day be without a picture of some random people jumping into the air like lunatics?

The doors of the Library have just opened for GCSE Results – you have until midday to collect them, people!

Of course it’s a day for individual celebration and/or reflection – not too much of the latter, hopefully.

Although I have said countless times to my own children that ‘the race is long, and in the end it’s only against yourself‘, you might be interested to know the national picture too, to see how you fare against the rest of the country.  This link to the Guardian will bring you all the day’s news.

There’s an interesting graph, posted at 09:34, which shows how A*-C grades have fared in English across the board, dropping 5.2% since last year’s results!

We’d love to hear from you, so feel free to drop us an email or comment on this thread to let us know how the day has gone for you …

And, from all of us at English, and regardless of your grade today, congratulations to all of you who worked so hard and were so enjoyable to teach over the last two years.
