Year 10 Trip to Lancaster University

On Tuesday 10th December, around 100 year 10 students from schools across Furness will be visting Lancaster University Physics Department.

After eating in one of the university cafeterias the students will be treated to a lecture on anti-matter by CERN physicist Dr Roger Jones. This will be followed by a tour of the physics research facilities and some spectacular demonstrations.

After a quick tour of the general campus the students will be bussed back to Furness, all courtesy of the Ogden Trust.

Year 10 students interested in taking part should contact their physics teacher in school.
