Year 7 Netball Girls – Captains Match Report

Name of Captain: Maya

Year group: 7      Date of match: 24/09/12

Result and score: Won 4-2

Match against: Furness Academy North

Year seven and nine year groups travelled from U.V.H.S to Furness Academy North site. This was year sevens first match playing together, so we were really excited! After doing the toss of the coin we sprinted to our positions having won the first centre pass. We then played our hardest! The result ended us winning our first match! I am very proud we won and i hope our team has more sucsesses in the future!

Hightlight of the match: Scoring our first ever goal.

Year 8 Girls football Match Report

Name of Captain and report written by-  Brooke

Match against: Furness academy

Year Group- 8 and 7             Date of match: 8/10/12

Result and score: 3-1 loss.

I think the match was a good match even though we lost and the best part is that we never gave up. I also think we worked together as a team, however I think that we need to improve on spreading out and staying in our positions.

Highlight of the match was : Our co-operating skills – especially as we have never played together.

Captains player of the match was: Mischa in year 7 because she co-operated well with the rest of the team.

Year 10 Boys Football Match Report

MATCH REPORT: Ulverston vs. Q.E.S – 17 Sept 2012

It wasn’t the best start until Brad W played a nicely weighted pass through to Reis. However, Q.E.S soon equalised. It wasn’t long before Brad.w put the blues 2-1 up witha poweful header past the goal keeper. Some pressure by Q.E.S lead to a goal. After half time Ulverston picked it up with a belting header by Ronan as some big tackles went in and Ulverston took the game, Huw taking a nasty challenge won a penalty and slotted it home. Ronan took a screamer on a slotted goal… a beauty.

FINAL SCORE: 5-3

HIGHLIGHT OF THE MATCH:

Ronan’s beautiful goal from 20+ yards out.

Year 7 Boy’s Rugby Match Report

Ulverston vs Walney       40-16

MATCH REPORT (Daniel H): Victoria Victorious as Walney are Vanquished

Ulverston opened the scoring with Tyler picking a hole in the shocked Walney defence. The Vic carried on with solid play, until a Walney penalty allowed them in for a try. Then straight from the kick off Brandon scored an excellent end to end try. Soon after, I scored a tight try set up superbly by Adam. Strong tackles flew in from George, Zac and Travis. Just before half time Walney sneaked in a late try due to another penalty. The second was a contious bombardment on walneys line with a furthwer 5 trys from Tyler, Daniel, Adam and Jack.

HIGHLIGHT OF THE MATCH: Brandons try.

CAPTAINS PLAYER OF THE MATCH: Tyler S
